Looking for a place where you can get work done while still feeling like you’re on holiday? At The Big Fields, we’ve got you covered. Settle into your own desk in a shared (max 6 people), focused space with fast internet and a good view. Start your day with a delicious vegetarian breakfast made with fresh veggies from our garden, and enjoy the comfort of your private room with its own or shared bathroom.

When you need a break, there’s plenty to recharge your mind and body: take a dip in the lake, stretch it out with yoga, hit the gym, or even book a massage. If you’re feeling stuck, a horse therapy session or strategy brainstorm could give you fresh insights and a little push in the right direction.

And when work’s done, there’s time to explore! Visit nearby villages and towns, hike in the hills, cycle through stunning landscapes (e-bikes, mountain bikes, or challenging climbs – your pick), or hit the slopes in winter. Wrap up the day by joining us for a relaxed family-style dinner with other guests, or cook yourself in the shared kitchen.

A few times a year, we open our doors for dedicated workation weeks – designed for those who want to work in a peaceful and inspiring setting. During these weeks, there are no other events or retreats, ensuring a quiet, focused atmosphere where you can be productive while surrounded by like-minded people. Whether you need deep focus time or want to balance work with nature and connection, these weeks offer the perfect mix of both.

As we are currently in our soft-launch phase we will only host workation weeks if there is enough interest.

During this soft-launch phase, we offer these weeks at a reduced rate to shape and refine the experience together.

Soft launch price: €547 per person
That includes 6 nights in a private room, vegetarian breakfast and lunch each day, three dinners, a shared co-working space, and the kind of rhythm that helps you focus without burning out.

Coming with a friend or partner?

We offer a duo price of €997 for two people sharing a room (one king size bed, or two single beds). Work separately, rest together.

A few practical questions

We keep it small - max 6 participants per week. There are no other guests during workation weeks, so the place stays peaceful and spacious.

Nope – there’s no fixed schedule. You’ll find gentle rhythms (like breakfast time, shared dinners, or optional yoga), but nothing is expected. This week is yours. You can join in or keep to yourself – both are totally fine.

Yes. Especially if you're looking for a place to reset without having to explain yourself. You don’t need to be “on” here – just present. You’re welcome exactly as you are, even if that means naps and forest walks instead of deep work.

Not at all. The group is small (max 6 people), and everyone’s here for the same reason: calm, space, and focus. There's room to connect by the fire – and room to quietly do your own thing. No forced group vibes, just a nice community.

Breakfast and lunch are included. For dinner, there’s a sign-up sheet each evening if you’d like to join a shared meal – usually cooked together and eaten around the fire or at the long table. It’s completely optional: some guests join every night, others prefer to go hiking and eat on the way, or explore the local cuisine in town. It’s your week - you get to choose what feels right for you.
